Applying the countertop surface. Liquid contact cement is the best adhesive for bonding plastic laminate. Let the contact cement dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Use the roller to apply pressure to the sheet so the glue will have a strong bond and no air pockets.

Apply two coats to particleboard. Let the adhesive dry until you can put a piece of brown kraft paper on it and the paper doesn t stick. Starting at one end of the sheet remove the first wood strip or dowel and use a j roller to press the new sheet down onto the counter bonding the two pieces together. Allow the adhesive surfaces to dry to the touch.
