After countless times of ruining a brand new counter edge when trimming the top down to the final dimension i came up with this trick to provide consistent.
Set it in place using the laminate roller.
Set the large top piece of laminate on the rods and get it correctly positioned with the factory edge up against the wall and the other sides overhanging the edge.
Step six the two surfaces are then pressed and rolled together.
Step five plastic laminate glue is then applied to both the counter or formica cabinet and the new plastic.
